Due Dates

 
Participation- This will be assessed throughout the process to monitor student use of time. 10 points 

Permission Slip- This element is required. Student have to ride on the school bus over to the school. It is illegal for students to drive personal cars to the event if they miss the bus. The students who miss the bus will earn a zero for those grades. 5 points

Group Lesson Plan- Due at the beginning of class on Thursday January 25th, the day before students will be teaching the high school students their lessons. 25 points

Practice Lesson- Friday January 26th- Students will get started teaching their lessons at the beginning of the class. There will be no time for last minute conversation, improvements or assembling items. The guidelines for the lesson are listed under Student Expectations. 25 points

Revised Lesson Plan- Due Tuesday 1/30. This is a work day but students must turn in their revised and improved lesson plan at the beginning of the period. Captain Obvious suggests making an extra copy for students have access to their own lesson plans. 15 points

Group Conference- During the work period groups will be required to meet with Mr. Durnell to talk through their lesson and discuss improvements. 10 points.

Formal Dress- Students are obligated to dress formally on Friday February 2nd, the day we travel to Long Elementary. 10 points

Lesson Observation- Teachers will assign a grade of student final lessons based on observations in the elementary rooms. 10 points

Group Evaluation- This is the chance for individual students to communicate with the teacher about what each member of the group contributed or did not, including themselves. 30 points, due Monday February 12th. Students will also be asked to reflect on the project. Questions will be emailed out in advance. This is due the same day as the Group Evals. 10points

Elementary School Student Evals- Student will rate each group and a grade will be pulled form that feedback. 10 Points.
